    Think about for a moment, people were using animal fats to cook in long before heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and other metabolic issues were Ever an issue. I don't think butter is inherently bad, but combine it with inflamatory seed oils, grains that are GMO, sugar, highly processed "food" etc then you have a metabolic mess.

    My husband and I did carnivore diet for two months and then that timeframe it cleared up a whole lot of issues that we were dealing with. We’re both 42 years old. Then we had some issues in our personal life but we’re going back on carnivore. People need to realize the food pyramid is a lie… Research the carnivore diet or as Ken Berry calls it “proper human diet”.

    The topic is interesting and nice to hear about it from these nice men, but; "...these gut microbes we Evolved with them over three million years", such beliefs from people who are more deeply familiar with the incredible subtleties of biology, make me sad and a little angry. How can they believe that an unfathomably complex, balanced and intelligently designed, dare I say it, could have evolved over millions of years on its own. The fact is that everything in this world just deteriorates over the years. I have come to the conclusion after years of hearing comments like this from scientists that it is a pretty shameless mockery of God. I'm sorry, but as nice, well-read and intelligent as you are, this is the truth.

    Don’t listen to the diet part of this. Yes, intermittent and extended fasting work wonders for your insulin sensitivity (along with exercise). But plant based, whole food diets are often full of carbs. Carbs are the enemy of diabetes. Only carbs. Eat a heavy fatty meat diet (keto or carnivore). I tried everything over the first few years of my diagnosis. Everything changed when I started eating Keto (now I’m carnivore).

    1.5 is type 1 eventually. It took me 5 years before my pancreas beta cells were all gone. I don’t know why you are distinguishing between 1.5 and 1. The only difference is that it happens at a different age.

    Humans are omnivores. If you read Weston A Price's book on Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, he talks about Native tribes, like in Alaska who had no chronic diseases when they ate their diet of predominantly whale meat and blubber. Chronic diseases only crept in with processed food. We are Not meant to eat all the processed junk at the grocery store with all the chemical frankin-fillers. We are meant to eat a natural diet, wheather it be plant-based and supplemented with animal protiens or meat-based supplemented with plants.

    You guys are living under rocks. One of the most popular carnivores out here. She's super healthy we all are this side. Good luck to you and your standard American diet. I just turned 42 and at some point I was wondering if I will make it to 60 but on carnivore I know I will get to 90 naturally

    What most people don’t know is that the “weight loss“ of Ozempic is approximately 50/50 where half is fat cell reduction, and the other half is muscle mass loss! Not really a good product to use unless you are in serious need of assistance with weight. Avoiding all baked goods, all dairy products and eliminating all forms of sugar and artificial sweeteners are the best ways to lose weight… I lost 50 pounds in less than two years with minimal effort except diet. The only sweetener to be used is preferably, pure Stevia powder, which has a zero glycemic index or monk fruit, which has a glycemic index of seven. Never drink juices; eat the whole fruit and only a modest amount. Eating whole fruit contains fiber, which helps to keep your glucose levels from spiking. I reduced my A1c in two years from 12.4 down to 5.8 and hope to become a non-diabetic within six months. 88% of US citizens will become diabetic because all that processed foods and sugars in so much of it. Spend money on healthier products without additives or preservatives and your body will reward you and you will live a much healthier happier life. The best way to minimize glucose sugar, spikes, and keep yourself. Healthy is to use this alphabetic formula for every meal… No snacks and nothing after 8 PM. In this order, concern: Salad, Savory; and Sweet. Always start with a salad as it will reduce your glucose levels spikes with any meal. Eat your savory (non-sweet) foods, and then have a small amount of fruit, if desired after the savory.

    I wonder if exercising during a blood sugar rise after a meal would also reduce glycation (in the context of a diabetic for instance) through improving insulin sensitivity

    Your absolutely right. Potentially serious. With any change in diet it is common sense to transition slowly. Such a diet as Carnivore it’s a pretty drastic change for a majority of people. So caution and care to transition to such a change.

    When I was first diagnosed, my Dr prescribed pills and asked if I would consider a diet. That was the last I heard of it. I was 230 lbs. For years I tried different diets then educated myself. WFPB seemed most scientific. That was 7 years ago. Today numbers much better and 140 lbs, wasn't even trying to lose weight, just trying to manage my blood sugar. No thanks to medical establishment. Research Rockefeller and the AMA. That should give you a clue as to why our medical system is abysmal. Keep up the good work.

    As hunter gatherers, gathering is the backup plan if the hunters weren't successful. I tried carnivore for a week and had almost no content in my bowel. One poop. Did not feel constipated at all. You are being a zealot. Try it.

    With the absence of sugar, or ridiculously high insulin spikes. He body is simply burning through the fat and utilising the protein. It’s only when you start mixing in starch and sugar problems occur.

      That is Exactly right! It's the Combination that creates the problem. When people eat like her but Also eat sugars, that's the combination that raises triglycerides With cholesterol level that creates the Problem! Remove those sugars, OK! Likewise, if eating the carbs, but reducing the fats and cholesterol down, then OK! But can't raise Both! The SADiet hmtrained people to have high amounts of Fat and Sugar and Protein Every single day. It's the worst combination. Good clean animal product is Bioavailable to extract nutrients and not the issue on a regular basis. It's mixing it in with all the unnatural foods that creates a cascade of problems.
